he actually said that problems he has while commentating come from that crash, as well as one in 1984, at Monaco, when his head hit the guardrail and the track
yeah, you can see a natsy video on you tube of that. one f1 driver who defo did suffer such a fate was helmuth koenigg when the bottom of the armco gave way but not the top when he crashed into it.
I had never of Tom Pryce but having just googled him, I see that he was only partially decapitated which doesn’t count, but nice try ha ha
Cevert was cut in half but wasn’t decapitated either.
yes people have been decapitated before in F1, hmm…Cevert had his head smashed in with a 40 pound fire extinguisher..one guy was truly decapitated, can’t remember his name..must’ve been in the 60s, and another driver was torn in half after crashing into poorly erected Armco guard rails.
Because the muscles in their neck are built up to withstand the g-forces. He told F1 BBC last season before Brazil that it concussed him and gave him mild brain damage. Take into account that Benneton weighs atleast half a tonne, it was a fully pressured spinning tyre that struck him and he wasn’t braced for the impact.
Ah the common YouTube debater. If I was in his shoes it probably would have snapped my neck… and I’m sure it would yours as well. Nerves don’t come into it.

Eddie Irvine kicked Verstappen and flew. Although, FIA punished Irvine with one grand prix absense and Aguri Suzuki replaced him.

It means enough that I came in here in the first place. Has anyone ever been decapitated in F1?

The video should be fairly clear. Big thing hits him in the head, neck’s only flesh and bone. But whatever, it really shouldn’t mean that much to you.

You haven’t explained the “decapitated” thing yet, which is why I commented in the first place.

It didn’t break his neck; Why would it break yours or mine, not to mind decapitate, which is a total exaggeration.

If you were in his shoes you’d probably go running home to your mammy. F1 drivers have nerves of steel.

Yeah a half tonne car into the side of your head. Shrug it off and get on with the race, right?
